NFL’s Miller suspended for violating league policy

Miller has not been suspended by the NFL, the league announced Monday.

Miller has been suspended for the first four games of the season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy, league spokesman Greg Aiello said in a statement.

Miller, the second-leading rusher for the Cleveland Browns this season with 1,904 yards rushing, was suspended without pay for one game after he tested positive for a prohibited substance, the NFL said.

The suspension is effective immediately, Aiella said.
