It’s no secret that metal tubing is expensive to heat and maintain.
And the price tag isn’t worth it for a variety of reasons.
Here are some of the most common reasons why metal tubing won’t perform as expected.
It’s not a good conductor.
Aluminum is an extremely conductive material, which means that the amount of electrical current you’ll get out of a metal tube depends largely on the temperature and the type of metal.
So a good metal conductor will provide a higher current capacity and will also provide more heat resistance.
But aluminum tubing is a particularly poor conductor because it’s not as dense as copper, a metal used in copper-based products such as cables, connectors, and electrical outlets.
